Imagine kicking back on one of the Gold Coast’s beautiful yachts, beverage in hand, cruising the stunning Broadwater, listening to epic live, original tunes?
That’s exactly what Beats Cartel and Stone & Wood Brewing are bringing to the Gold Coast when they launch A Set Adrift this summer.
What began as a quiet idea on the Sunshine Coast in 2015 really took off. The event has been selling out every month for the past three years. We reckon it’s about time, they brought their sailor suits and waterway vibes to the glitter strip.
“A Set Adrift is honestly one of the best weekend experiences, combining our three favourite things, the ocean, original music and craft beers,” Beats Cartel’s Kimberley Ferguson explained.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be able to bring the event series to the Gold Coast and we hope to see it become as popular an event as it has on The Sunshine Coast. Who doesn’t like the sound of sinking beers, kicking back in the nets listening to incredible music?!”
The first event will include an extremely limited run of tickets. Just 25 to be exact. It all fits with the intimate vibe the organisers are trying to create. Running over two hours, the maiden voyage on Sunday 6 January is expected to sell out pretty quickly.
And once punters hear that Loose Leaf will be providing the live tunes, those tickets will be snapped up mighty quick.
The two hour cruise on a Sailing In Paradise yacht, will see sailors and bands given the opportunity to drop anchor and enjoy a mid set ocean swim before a secondary set of soapy tunes on return to dock.
It’s anchors aweigh from 2.30pm with the cruise departing Main Beach.
Tickets are $60 +BF and a licensed bar is available on deck. Your ticket includes a shared antipasto platter and a Stone & Wood beer on arrival. Oh, and the sublime tunes from Loose Leaf.
The next A Set Adrift Gold Coast will be held Sunday 3 February.
