Three exceptional Gold Coast acts have been lined up to keep things cranking at this year’s Gold Coast Music Awards after party in Surfers Paradise on 2 May. Check ‘em out:
RADOLESCENT: Rambunctious three piece punk rockers, Radolescent, describe themselves as “three young fellas from the Gold Coast who like their music loud and the beers cold.” 2017 saw the Radolescent lads, Isaac, Lachlan and Kurt, put out their debut EP, ‘Scrape Ya Plate’, with 2018 being a year of major live gigging and recording. Singles ‘Drug Fiend’, ‘The Ballad of Lynn Howl’ and most recently ‘406’ have since hit the airwaves to plenty of buzz. These guys pack a definite punch and will be the perfectly punky party headliners at this year’s event.
ROMII: 2018 saw ROMII release ‘Cupid’s Love’, which is up for three gongs at this year’s GCMAs. Current single ‘You Keep Running’ is going gangbusters on the airwaves and very much keeping the ROMII train moving. “I’ve always tried to learn as much as I can about what it takes to be in the music industry. It’s a field that you have to continuously work at and keep pushing forward in, in order to create success,” she says.
DVNA: Hot new modern-soul fusionist DVNA (pronounced Dah-Na) has charted a rapidly ascending musical trajectory since bursting onto airwaves with her sweet and sassy single, ‘Girl On The Move’ in late 2018. In fact, the song has turned heads to such an extent that it’s been nominated in the prestigious ‘Song of the year’ category at the upcoming Gold Coast Music Awards. “I’m absolutely crazy about music so I will work my butt off until it is my full time. For every big goal, I’ve got a thousand little goals,” she tells us.
The GCMA after party will be held at elsewhere Surfers Paradise on 2 May, following the main event on the foreshore. If you don’t grab a ticket to the awards ceremony, then entry will be $10.
