Arctic Monkeys announce arena tour for 2019

Cue the opening riff of ‘Do I Wanna Know’ because the Artic Monkeys are coming to Brisbane. Joining them will be friends and collaborators Mini Mansions, the LA trio (featuring members of Queens of the Stone Age) and The Last Shadow Puppets.

Arctic Monkeys’ recent album ‘Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino’ became their sixth consecutive #1 debut in the UK. They have been heralded as one of the first bands to come to public attention via the Internet, paving the way for how bands are marketed today. Their sense of innovation however ultimately comes from their iconic yet unfamiliar sound.

The band has headlined Glastonbury on more than one occasion, won seven Brit Awards and been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. If that hasn’t got you convinced, their very first album, ‘Whatever People Say I Am’ was the fastest-selling debut album in UK chart history.

These modern day masters of reinvention are ready to take you on a cinematic experience. After their November show, they will be returning next year to our shores for a titanic run of arena shows in February and March 2019.The English rock band is promising their most experimental tour to date and will not be one to miss out on.

Arctic Monkeys will be hitting Perth, Melbourne and Sydney before the wowing the Brisbane crowds at the Entertainment Centre on Sunday 3 March, then heading to NZ. Ticket pre-sales kicked off yesterday and continue until General Public sale opens on 7 November. Hop to Ticketek.
