Bonnie Lythgoe Productions and The Arts Centre Gold Coast are seeking talented cast members for their production of The Adventures of Peter Pan & Tinker bell in Return to Pantoland.

Be advised that these are Open Call Auditions, so please read the below information carefully prior to auditions. All casting positions are professional paid positions and some will require touring interstate.

JUVENILES 

Sunday 5 March 2017 – The Arts Centre Gold Coast – Paradise Showroom & Arts Theatre

OPEN AUDITIONS – Registrations: 8.00am / Auditions Commence: 9.00am

SEEKING: Boys & Girls – Ages 7-12 Inclusive

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maximum height 145cm
  • Technical dance experience in Ballet and Modern Jazz
  • Strong Vocal Ability with Character Personality
  • Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season June 3 – July 2 Inclusive
  • This casting position is for the Gold Coast performance season only

PREPARATION:

  • Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  • Please ensure you wear sensible footwear that is appropriate for dance
  • Please bring with you a water bottle or snacks as you may be required to spend most of the day
  • Please familiarise yourself with the following Music Selections as part of the Audition: C’est La Vie – Be*Witched, Can’t Stop The Feeling – Justin Timberlake

 

FEMALE ENSEMBLE 

Monday 6 March 2017 – The Arts Centre Gold Coast – The Arts Theatre

OPEN AUDITIONS – Registrations: 8.00am / Auditions Commence: 9.00am

SEEKING: Female Dancers 18-30 (either professional or pre-professional full time)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Technical dance experience in Ballet and Modern Jazz
  • Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season June 12 – July 2 Inclusive
  • This casting position is for the Gold Coast performance season only

PREPARATION:

  • Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  • Please ensure you bring chorus heels, jazz and pointe shoes
  • Dress to Impress
  • Please bring with you a water bottle as you may be required to spend most of the day
  • Please ensure you are relatively warmed up prior to Audition
  • If you feel you have sound singing ability, Please prepare; 16 bars of an up-tempo pop song or ballad (You must bring your own backing track via iPhone, iPod or any other Playback Device, CD or USB)

 

THE LOST BOYS

Monday 6 March 2017 – The Arts Centre Gold Coast – The Arts Theatre

OPEN AUDITIONS – Registrations: 2.00pm / Auditions Commence: 3.00pm

SEEKING: Males who are 18+ but have a stage look of 15-16 years of age

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be over 18 years old / Maximum age 25
  • Must be under 165cm in height
  • Strong technical dance experience in Modern Hip-Hop, Funk, B-Boy or Breakdancing styles
  • Distinct and Unique personalities with strong stage presence and energy
  • The ability to sing would also be advantageous
  • Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season June 12 – July 30 Inclusive
  • These casting positions will tour with production interstate

PREPARATION:

  • Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  • Please ensure you bring suitable footwear for dance
  • Please bring with you a water bottle as you may be required to spend most of the day
  • Please ensure you are relatively warmed up prior to Audition
  • Although not compulsory, If you feel you have sound singing ability, Please prepare; 16 bars of an up-tempo pop song or ballad (You must bring your own backing track via iPhone, iPod or any other Playback Device, CD or USB)
  • Those successful in this first round of auditions will be required to attend a call back audition the following day, Tuesday 6 March 2017 – 1.00pm

 

WENDY DARLING

Saturday 18 March 2017 – The Arts Centre Gold Coast – The Basement

OPEN AUDITIONS – Registrations: 2.00pm / Auditions Commence: 3.00pm

SEEKING: Females who are 18+ but have a stage look of 15-16 years of age

CHARACTER SUMMARY: Wendy is the most developed character in the story of Peter Pan, and is often considered the central protagonist. Wendy, particularly in the Nursery Scene, is seen as a rather bossy, older sister. This can also be shown in the way she organises her “boys”. In her unrequited love for Peter, Wendy is not that different from more modern teenage girls; hers is the character that matures most during the course of the story.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be over 18 years old / Maximum age 25
  • Strong singing ability
  • Not afraid of heights or flying in a harness
  • Ability to perform with English Accent Dialect preferred but not essential
  • Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season June 8 – July 30 Inclusive
  • This casting position will tour with production interstate

PREPARATION:

  • Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  • Audition will consist of cold readings from the script
  • Optional: Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue that shows ability with language
  • Please bring Sheet Music (in the correct key with clearly marked cuts) and of approximately 2 minutes in duration – Song should show the ability to communicate character.
  • Please also prepare a second song that is of high contrast of your first choice (different tempo or feel)

 

MICHAEL & JOHN

Saturday 19 March 2017 – The Arts Centre Gold Coast – The Basement

OPEN AUDITIONS – Registrations: 2.00pm / Auditions Commence: 3.00pm

SEEKING: Boys between the ages of 7-14

MICHAEL DARLING: The youngest Darling child. He is a sweet, bubbly, and likeable boy who is full of fun.

  • Those Auditioning for MICHAEL need to be between 7-10 years of age

JOHN DARLING: John is the loyal, bookish middle child. He has always dreamed of being in a big adventure.

  • Those Auditioning for JOHN need to be between 10-14 years of age

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Both characters must be under 145cm tall
  • Not afraid of heights or Flying in a harness
  • Ability to perform with English Accent Dialect preferred but not essential
  • A good all round performer with plenty of character and personality
  • Must be available for full time Rehearsal and Performance Season June 8 – July 2 Inclusive
  • This casting position is for the Gold Coast Performance Season Only

PREPARATION:

  • Please bring with you a Headshot and 1 Page performance experience CV
  • Audition will consist of cold readings from the script
