Best Night Ever drops second lineup announcement

Returning after a sold-out debut event in 2017, Gold Coast’s BEST NIGHT EVER is back with the all-ages mini-fest today completing its already jaw-dropping lineup.

Fan favourites DZ Deathrays, WAAX and RAAVE TAPES join headliners and fellow Brisbane powerhouse Dune Rats (pictured) alongside The Gooch PalmsTotty and Crum for an evening rager at NightQuarter on Saturday 29 December.

Multi-ARIA Award winning Brisbane shred lords DZ Deathrays lead the final announcement. With 33 international tours, multiple sold out Australian tours and appearances at Reading & Leeds, Falls Festival, Splendour In The Grass and more under their belts, the duo are well seasoned. They hit the BEST NIGHT EVER stage off the back of sold out 10 year anniversary tour shows, and acclaimed album Bloody Lovely.Helping to make the best night even better, WAAX unleash their furious presence on the NightQuarter stage following an awe inspiring set at the recent Splendour in the Grass and release of killer single ‘Labrador’. WAAX deliver an intense and captivating chaos which draws crowds wherever they go – guaranteeing an unforgettable performance at BEST NIGHT EVER.

These acts join an already raucous bill, headlined by stoner punk heroes Dune Rats for their final Queensland performance of the year. Coming off the back of a headline slot at this year’s Splendour in the Grass, BEST NIGHT EVER is the last chance to catch the Brisbane rule-breakers before they get back to the studio to work on new tunes. The chaos continues with Newcastle natives The Gooch Palmsand RAAVE TAPES plus Wollongong’s Totty and Gold Coast locals Crum to round it off. Will Saturday December 29 be the perfect opportunity for The Gooch Palms and DZ Deathrays to bring their infamous triple j Like a Version performance to the live stage? Will BEST NIGHT EVER be turned into a ‘Love Shack’? There’s only one way to find out first.

For eager little groms, the event is ALL AGES, with minors permitted with a legal guardian over the age of 25. Plus, forget spending that Christmas money from Grandma on expensive taxis, public transport to and from the event is absolutely free. Punters only need to show their Oztix event ticket for a free ride on Queensland Rail City Network services, Surfside Buslines and G:Link light rail services.

Final release tickets are on sale now via Oztix and selling fast. Cure that hankering for loud and loose garage punk rock before the year ends, BEST NIGHT EVER is the ultimate way to farewell the last few days of 2018. NightQuarter. 29 December. Be there.
