Brewing a special kind of christmas cheer

Burleigh Brewing has donated $9000 to support Burleigh Rotary’s Community Christmas Carols taking place Sunday 8 December.

CEO and co-founder Peta Fielding says when the company took out Telstra Queensland Business of the Year in July, the accolades came with a surprise prize cheque.

“We decided to use the funds to say thanks for helping us get to this point,” she said. “There are many factors that have played a part in the Burleigh Brewing story so far – not least of which being the willingness of the Burleigh and Gold Coast community to embrace a world-class, locally-made product.”

Peta says the donation is a small way of saying thank you to the Gold Coast community.

The carols event takes place Sunday 8 December at Burleigh Sports Club Oval on Christine Avenue. It is now in its 30th year and presented by Rotary Club of Burleigh Heads. Families are invited to bring a picnic blanket to enjoy entertainment, sing-a-long carols under the stars and a community focused celebration.

Performers, who donate their time to the event, hit the stage from 5pm. Jumping castle, face painting, food and market stalls open from 3pm. Fireworks at 8.15pm.
