The Groove and Food Festival is a massive three day foodie extravaganza in Burleigh running Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August.
Kicking the party off on Friday with the Groove Train Progressive Degustation lunch featuring dishes from top Burleigh food hot spots Pigs N Pints, Zullaz, Finders Keepers and Oskars.
That night is the Burleigh Brewing Brew Jam, the welcome night for the Low and Slow BBQ Championships where you can grab a great brew and discuss all things BBQ.
From 2.00pm on Saturday the two day BBQ Championships kicks off in Ed Hardy park with 25 teams battling in out to see whose cuisine reigns supreme (sorry guys, you can’t sample the fruits of their labours – bummer). But you can bring along your picnic blanket, and your appetite, and let local musicians entertain you as you dig into some street food from Bella BBQ and California Tacos.
Rounding out the weekend are The Village Markets at Burleigh State School and the finale of the BBQ championships, guaranteed to be a great weekend for people of all ages. More at www.grooveandfood.com.au/.
