This year’s Byron Spirit Festival offers over 60 workshops and panels on yoga, music, dance, healing, creative arts and sustainability over three days on 20 – 22 April. The theme is ‘We Are the Mandala’ and the program will be run between Byron Bay’s new events complex, the Cavanbah Centre, and Elements of Byron Resort.
If you don’t want to attend the daytime workshops and nighttime music on offer at Byron Spirit Festival, the Spirit Village will be open to the community for free at the Cavanbah Centre throughout the festival.
Not only will there be a divine array of healthy food and market stalls, all aligned with Byron Spirit Festival’s vision, the Healing Village offers a myriad of well-being opportunities. Think Zen Thai Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Chakra Alignment and Tarot Readings.
The Spirit Stage will also be part of the Spirit Village and offers a live program during the day, showcasing the creators, musicians, visionaries, ethical entrepreneurs, healers and seers that collectively weave the web of these spiritual heartlands. The Spirit Stage has been provided by the festival’s charity partner A Sound Life. This Sydney charity provides musician and yoga teacher volunteers to hospitals and disadvantaged groups.
The festival has teemed up with Rainbow Kids Yoga again this year for the Rainbow Yoga Family Space. Offering daily yoga workshops designed for kids, teens and the whole family, as well as an obstacle course and awesome yoga craft projects.
An Acroyoga Playground run by Zoe Braithwaite will also be in the market place this year as a space to follow up skills learnt at the ACRO Intro and Progressions Workshops.
If all that is not enough to satisfy your spiritual awakening, there will be a one day ‘Breathfest’ on the Monday following the festival. This is an opportunity to dive deeply into the transformational power of breath work.
