After three years of bringing yoga, health and healing related workshops and talks, conscious dance and music performances, and just about all things spiritual, the Byron Spirit Festival is moving from the streets and indoor venues of Mullumbimby to Byron Bay’s new events complex, the Cavanbah Centre, and the luxurious resort, Elements of Byron right on the beach.
There will be over 50 workshops and panels on yoga, music, dance, healing, creative arts, sustainability and various cultural ceremonies over three days on 20 – 22 April 2018. This year’s theme is ‘‘We Are The Mandala’, focusing on co-creation and the concept of human design and our connection to the natural world, exploring how we can live in the greatest harmony with ourselves and everything else!
Musicians performing this year include North Coast favourites OKA (From Sunshine Coast) and Tijuana Cartel (Gold Coast), bringing electronic tribal beats, didgeridoo, house and reggae dub (OKA) and Flamenco and slide guitar married with electronica, dub and reggae (Tijuana Cartel). Other musicians performing at the festival bring sacred, ambient and world music as well as ecstatic dance.
