Oozing 80’s pop rock nostalgia.
Meet Dominiques. Northern NSW’s answer to Blondie. With a debut self-titled EP under their belt and with fuzz guitar, their live show has attracted wide audiences with edgy-dancefloor-driven sounds and fans across their home region and SEQ.
They’ve just been confirmed for a very special gig in Dorroughby this month. Bob Brown lobs into town for Big Scrub Field Day and will be a guest speaker for the Scrubbers’ Ball. And Dominiques will provide the live soundtrack for the evening.
Dominiques started as an ironic update of trashy 1960’s pop. However, their instincts, attitude, and style found them moving forward to the sharp genre of new wave rock. Often compared to the likes of Blondie, Nick Cave, and The Cure, Dominiques have attracted stellar references from Triple J and other music pundits.
Triple J say the five-piece “oozes 80’s pop rock nostalgia…fuzz driven guitar and bass licks… amazing vocal melodies and playful squeals.”
