Scottish indie rockers Frightened Rabbit will be returning to our shores next month for the first time since touring with St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in 2014.
The band have amassed a loyal following in Australia and already shows in Sydney and Melbourne have sold out while the appearance at Brisbane’s The Triffid on 9 March has seen tickets selling fast.
Their fifth album Painting Of A Panic Attack was released last year and these shows represent the band’s first opportunity to showcase songs like Get Out, I Wish I Was Sober and Blood Under The Bridge to Australian audiences in the live setting.
It’s been a long slog for the band to come this far having slogged it out on minor labels for years before signing to Atlantic in 2013 to release their fourth album Pedestrian Verse. Now, with Atlantic’s backing they have sought new heights on their latest opus and would be looking forward to playing some smaller Aussie shows having recently performed at such well attended affairs as Glastonbury, T In The Park and Lollapalooza.
These charming lads roll into The Triffid on 9 March. Tickets are available from Moshtix.
