Last year’s after-party was one for the books. But we won’t say much about that. Because as you know, what happens at the after-party stays at the after-party, right?
Well, the 2018 Gold Coast Music Awards is expected to trump last year’s. With brash rock, thumping blues, astronaut rock and alternative psych all being dished up by some of the city’s most fun party bands.
What even is astronaut rock? Guess you’ll have to come to find out.
GC Music Awards’ People’s Choice winners from 2017 Being Jane Lane will join Mason Rack Band (pictured), Lens and Peach Fur on musical duties for the after party which again takes place at Surfers Paradise Beergarden. It’s an eclectic mix of loud, local talent – which is precisely just what we all need after an awards event.
The after-party takes place immediately after the gala awards ceremony which wraps up at 10.00pm. As well as announcing winners for the 2018 Gold Coast Music Awards at that ceremony, we’ll have live performances on the massive Surfers Paradise stage from Bobby Alu, Hussy Hicks, Electrik Lemonade and Eliza and the Delusionals. Those bands are free and all-ages.
GC Music Awards ticketholders get free entry to the after-party at the Beergarden with their wristband and other tickets are available at the door for just ten bucks a pop.
Killer lineup, all original Gold Coast music, seriously, there are no losers here.
