Gold Coast: It’s your New Year’s Eve 2017

If you’re like us, you wait until the last minute to organise your New Year’s Eve festivities. Gotta weigh up all the options, right? Fortunately, while we’ve been doing that for ourselves, we’ve made some notes for you. Here are our picks for NYE that include options (still available at time of publishing) for the youngest family members, oldest family members, and everyone in between.

Strictly for grown ups

 

Simply the best New Year’s Eve at Currumbin RSL

In case you hadn’t guessed from the title, Currumbin RSL is hosting a rockin’ Tina Turner tribute show at for New Year’s Eve! Stunning vocalist Rebecca O’Conner  is the only artist in the world to be personally endorsed by the Queen of Rock herself. There’s a glass of bubbles and DJ on arrival, a delicious two course dinner, Simply the Best Tina Turner tribute show plus a magnificent display of fireworks to welcome in the New Year. Tickets are $99 for members and $119 for non-members and can be bought here. Doors and bar open from 6:30pm.

 

Spoilt for choice at The Star

Srsly, there is so much going on at The Star this New Year’s Eve. Food Fantasy buffet will set you back $99 (including free bubbles!), Garden Kitchen & Bar is doing an early and late seating for a set menu, also at $99 with bubbles, beer or wine. Cucina Vivo has an a la carte seating at 5 or a set menu at 8. And multi-award winning Kiyomi is putting on a set menu for only $100. Bargain! The Imperial is serving up its delicious Chinese a la carte and set menu, and finally the Atrium bar will have live music, comfy booth and a wide range of beverages to help you ring in the new year in style. Bookings essential for all.

 

Swank is the word at Palazzo Versace

Opulence is on the table this NYE with a seafood buffet in Il Barocco restaurant for $169 for an early sitting or $249 for a later sitting which includes a premium beverage package. At 10pm the Bianco Ball opens for a night of splendour in the lead up to the midnight fireworks. Entry to the ball is $250, which includes a three-hour beverage package and glass of champagne on arrival. Dress in white to add your own brilliance to the delicious white night of new beginnings. Also, if you buy the dinner you can upgrade with a ticket to the Bianco Ball, 10pm – 1am, for $130 per person.

 

Dracula’s doesn’t suck at all

For something a little different, Dracula’s on the Gold Coast serves up an entertainment night of bloodsucking cabaret. Tickets are $95 and includes a three-course dinner, ghost train ride, VIP necklace and glass of champagne at midnight. Get spooky.

 

This Luxe just ain’t for us. Or is it?

Do you ever wonder how the Rihannas, Diddys, Drakes, Downey Jnrs, Biebs and Beyonces get down on New Year’s Eve? They go large and luxurious. And now you can too! LUXE at Stingray is the Gold Coast’s most exclusive New Year’s Eve invitation; an opulent New York loft-style party for the who’s-who and well connected. At $129 pp you will receive a Perrier Jouet on arrival, a Grey Goose Espresso Martini OR Cosmopolitan cocktail per person, three hours of premium drinks including sparkling, red and white wines, beers (including Heineken and Heineken 3), soft drink and juice served from 8pm – 11pm, three hours of premium canapés and LUXE Food Stations served from 8pm – 11pm, including live Oyster Shucking Station, Bao Bun Station, The Philly Station serving dry aged Cape Byron sirloin steak rolls and an Adults Entertainment Ice Cream Station. Turn back time at Skypoint Observation Deck at Q1

Skypoint turns into Studio 54 for one night only featuring a mix of canapes and dancing on New Year’s Eve. Tickets are $195 which includes food, drinks until midnight, live entertainment and DJ. Oh, and that view, of course. Talk about the best vantage point for fireworks! Rollerskates optional. They’ll provide the entertainment, you’ll bring the sparkle.

 

Oh please, Havana go to Southport Sharks for New Year’s Eve!

Feel the beating pulse of live bongo players accompanying a DJ playing Latin beats and soak up the Caribbean vibes as Cabana Bar and Lounge is transformed in to a tropical paradise for New Year’s Eve. Celebrate seeing in the start of 2018 sipping tropical cocktails and substantial tapas with a 4-hour beverage & tapas package. At only $120 for members, and $140 for guests, it’s a hot deal for a hot summer’s night. Get your dancing shoes on.  If you’re keen for dinner beforehand, Carmody’s is taking booking for a delicious three course meal at only $79 for members and $99 for non-members. And if you’re in the mood for something a little more Aussie, popular tribute band INEXCESS will be taking over the stage for FREE from 8.30pm.

It’s a Club Carnival!

The Club at Parkwood Village is going full Carnival this New Year’s Eve. Head into the main event for free face painting, live music and kids entertainment, or Book your tickets to experience a VIP food and drinks package, Jumps trampoline entry and kid’s village entry. Whether you want your kids entertained for the night, the older children jumping their hearts out at Jumps indoor Trampoline Park, the VIP treatment or just want a FREE family fun event close to home to bring in the new year, they’ve got you covered from 4.00pm.

 

The City lights up

City of Gold Coast is putting on several free family-friendly pop up events at various fireworks locations. Catch a combination of kids activities, jumping castles, staged and roving entertainment, amusement rides and food and drink outlets (or all of the above) and OF COURSE, early fireworks, at: Paradise Point Parklands, North Kirra SLSC, Broadwater Parklands, and Viney Park, Coomera.

 

It’s a family affair at Robina Town Centre

‘New Year’s Eve at Our Place’ event is returning to The Promenade at Robina Town Centre, while The Kitchens is serving up festive celebrations of a different kind. Kicking off from 5.00pm on The Promenade, talented local performers will get revellers on their feet before a DJ spins feel-good favourites into the night. Face painters, balloon artists and stilt walkers will be on hand to keep the little ones entertained, plus plenty of sweet and savoury treats available for purchase when hunger strikes, including fairy floss, popcorn and snow cones. Parents can pop a picnic rug on The Promenade lawn and enjoy having 10 eateries to order from for a unique take-away experience. For those who would like to toast to the New Year, The Promenade’s selection of restaurants are all taking New Year’s Eve bookings, so you can sip your champers. The evening will round out with a dazzling fireworks display on The Promenade at the family-friendly timeslot of 9.00pm!
