Killswitch Engage Set to Tear it Up Downunder

Massachusetts based five piece heavy metallers Killswitch Engage are bringing their latest tour down under come March. And there are two very good reasons we should be excited about this.

Firstly, original vocalist Jesse Leach is back in full force after the departure of Howard Jones, who now focuses full time on band Devil You Know with Gold Coast local drummer John Sankey. It is well known that Jesse has been back for sometime now, but if you are like me and you missed his return to the Australian stage with the last tour, you will be grinning from ear to ear with excitement.

And secondly, they will be playing through the entirety of their 2002 hit LP Alive or Just Breathing, the album that arguably shot them into the spotlight. And it was also the last album recorded with Jesse fronting the band just before he parted ways with the others. Leaving behind some of the most memorable Killswitch tracks to date, such as Self Revolution and My Last Serenade. So this is something special for the fans.

Killswitch Engage never fail to put on an amazing show. They are easily one of the tightest live metal bands on the roster these days. With guitarist Adam D’s signature energetic behaviour on stage, generally armed with a cape and short shorts followed by the brutal raw energy the rest of the band throw on top, you really cannot go wrong.

You can catch Killswitch Engage March 4 at Eatons Hill Hotel supported by Fallujah.
