King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard hit Tivoli

The psychedelic craziness of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is set to return to The Tivoli on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July. Last time it was a sold out show, so the Tivioli has put on two shows, but best to be quick about getting your tickets. The hardest part for the band will be selecting which songs to fit in their sets, but whatever they are it will be a sweaty, crazy time you won’t want to miss.

The super prolific band has been a little slow of late, in January dropping their 14th album (The first since the five albums released in 2017) ‘Fishing for Fishies’. That album has just settled into the minds of their fans, but a 15th is on the way. It looks like it will be their heaviest to date, as they have just dropped their new single ‘Self-immolate’ with a crazy film clip, verging on the edge of full metal, but still with that unique edge that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have on all their work.

The accolades and achievements of the Gizzard collective continue to break new ground and make just about every other band look lazy. They continue to tour their guts out around the world and 2019 touring moments will see them sell 10,000 tickets at London’s famous Alexandra Palace and they’ll play and pack Central Park and the Greek Theatre in the US plus dozens of other shows.

They will supported by MIDLIFE, another Melbourne outfit going places, and BITCH DIESEL, an all girl outfit who describe themselves as “just a couple of broads chasing down fame and fortune in a liquor infused haze”. It will be one hell of a gig!

Better grab your tickets fast.
