Rejoice rock fans of Brisbane, Manchester Orchestra are on their way back down under. The much-loved Atlanta-based indie veterans will return to these shores for a five-date headline tour in February next year.
The band are touring extensively in support of their latest album ‘A Black Mile To The Surface’ and will hit the stage at The Triffid on 6 February.
Following on from 2014’s ‘Cope’, ‘A Black Mile To The Surface’ finds the band in a more restrained and calculated mood with most of their usual distorted telecasters traded in for clean guitars and the occasional keyboard – despite the band’s full-time keyboardist, Chris Freeman, departing the band last year.
Last time they hit Brisbane was 2014 for a blistering performance, often re-imagining iconic songs from their back catalogue, stripping them down and building back up from scratch. You never really know what you’re going to get at a Manchester Orchestra concert so this one not to be missed.
Tickets are available from The Triffid website.
