Texas doom metallers The Sword will tour Australia in February to support their latest critically acclaimed album High Country. This will be the bands first headline tour down under and will be supported by fellow Texans American Sharks and Aussie punk rockers Clowns. Guitar icon Zakk Wylde will release the long awaited Book of Shadows II on April 8th via Entertainment One Music. It has been 20 years since Wylde released his first solo album Book Of Shadows and the follow up has been named as one of the most anticipated releases of 2016 by Rollingstone.com. Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society was recently in Australia touring behind last year’s Catacombs Of The Black Vatican album.

Australia’s own industrial metal Giants Darkc3ll have teamed up with some of the world’s most respected industrial artists for the release of their Rewired remix album which is set to be unleashed on January 29. The album features remixes by Tim Skold (Marilyn Manson, KMFDM, Skold), Virus (Dope, Device, Lords Of Acid), Davey Suicide, Deathstars, Psyclon 9, The Bloodline, Angelspit & more. American comedian and metal head Brian Posehn will tour Australia for the first time in April. Brian has had a longstanding affinity with the metal community and released his first album, Live In: Nerd Rage through Relapse Records in 2006. It includes Metal by Numbers, which accumulated over two million views on YouTube & MySpace. Brian has worked alongside metal icons such as Scott Ian (Anthrax), bassist Joey Vera (Anthrax, Armored Saint, Fates Warning), drummer John Tempesta (The Cult, White Zombie), Jonathan Donais (Shadows Fall) and metal acts Anthrax, Lamb of God, The Damned, Evile and Steel Panther in various formats. He also featured in a voice acting role with cult metal cartoon Metal Apocalypse and is currently producing a Comedy Metal album with Scott Ian of Anthrax. New York metal legends Anthrax will release their long awaited new album For All Kings through Nuclear Blast on February 26th. The follow up to 2011’s amazing Worship Music was well received by critics and fans alike and also saw the return of original vocalist Joey Belladonna to the band. Anthrax has recently released two singles from the upcoming masterpiece, Evil Twin and Breathing Lightning and if the album is anything like these tracks fans are in for a treat!

Alternative metal favourites Sevendust have announced an Australian tour in support of their latest album Kill The Flaw. The band was set to be here in 2014 for the Soundwave festival before pulling out when negotiations with the touring company fell through. Make sure you catch one of the hardest hitting live acts on the planet on the Gold Coast on Wednesday March 17 at the Coolangatta Hotel and Brisbane on Thursday March 17 at Eatons Hill Hotel.

Sydney’s thrash cross over kings Disintegrator will release their new EP Extreme Mutations on February 3rd through slime pit music. The band are also offering a limited vinyl pre order which includes a ‘Muscle Wolf’ figure for the first 50 orders which is definitely going to be a must for collectors. Disintegrator plan to launch the record at their 5 year anniversary show in April before announcing an Aussie tour pending any unforeseen mutations. Details will emerge shortly on their social media sites.
