Set in a relaxing and fun environment, the Makers and Finders Market is an exciting new venue for artists, vintage wares and musicians from the Tweed Region to come together and share their wares and for the community to come to shop, meet, eat, drink and play.
These new markets in Murwillumbah are going to be very popular with families with plenty of free activities for kids in the park including a brand new skate park and children’s playground, tennis courts, a feeding pond and lots of space to kick a ball around or simply relax and have a picnic under the shade of the trees.
The Makers & Finders is both a market and creative social gathering. It has all the right ingredients and intentions to grow into something really beautiful with a combo of food trucks dishing out nourishing bites, lots of creative stalls and acres of inviting grassy fields to appreciate your surroundings while listening to live music from local musicians each month.
Makers and Finders are keen to encourage the community to be environmentally aware, focusing on sustainable living and actively reusing and recycling resources. The market encourages upcycling and recycling of household goods, and also provides an outlet for creative makers to sell their works at market stalls.
The Makers and Finders Market will be popping up on the third Saturday of every month with their grand opening on Saturday, 19 August, so gather your eco friendly bag, skate board, soccer ball and your picnic blanket and make the drive to Murwillumbah to breathe that fresh country air a relax in the park.
