National Live Music Awards: nominations close 15 August

National Live Music Awards

The third annual National Live Music Awards has revealed its host venues across eight Australian cities with the gala event taking place at Brisbane’s The Triffid in December.

27 live music awards will be presented at The Triffid, with a new category, Live Music Photographer of the Year’ included for the first time. The Drummer of the Year category is also being renamed the “Sheddy” in memory of Iain Shedden.

Larry Heath is the founder and director of the National Live Music Awards and he said he was thrilled to be bringing the gala to Queensland for the first time.

“We held our inaugural event at The Triffid and we’re excited to return to one of our favourite venues in the country for the biggest event of the night,” he said.

At each of the other seven cities, a handful of awards will be presented, alongside live performances – making the awards a genuine one-of-a-kind; a truly national celebration.
