Neon Tetra bring their soul groove to the Gold Coast

Adelaide groove-rockers Neon Tetra have been making serious waves recently with the release of their highly anticipated debut EP, ‘Pollen’, a hook laden, catchy and soulful insight into the bands diverse sonic playground.

In the words of the band themselves: “Dan wrote a lot of tunes while listening to artists like Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes…the soul funk shines through with Josh’s gospel-like vocals lending themselves passionately to the feelings of the Motown era. The use of synth and strong grooves links (the band’s) more experimental beginnings with the current pop tones of the music.”

Having honed their live chops to a fine art, including a support slot for none other than Robbie Williams earlier this year, the four piece will shortly be touching down on the Gold Coast, playing two big shows across the weekend of 25 – 26 August, as well as the night before in Brisbane.

Here’s where you can catch them:

Friday 24 August: Netherworld Brisbane (w/ GD FRNDS DJs)
Saturday 25 August: Miami Marketta, Gold Coast
Sunday 26 August: The Shark Bar, Gold Coast
