Legends of rock, Queen (with frontman Adam Lambert) have announced a royal visit to these shores in early 2018 for a brand new tour.
The re-formed band will roll into the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 24 February for what promises to be a much-changed show to the one they last toured in 2014.
Queen’s surviving original members, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, with Lambert and bassist Neil Fairclough are bringing with them the superhits for which the group are renowned, as well as a few tasty, deeper cuts to satisfy the fans.
“We’re planning on doing stuff we either haven’t done before or haven’t done for a long time,” Taylor said in a recent interview.
“We started as an albums band, that’s what we were. The fact that we had hits was just a byproduct.”
The Sydney Morning Herald sites speculation that the band may centre the tour around 1977’s News Of The World, but whatever set design is revealed, one thing’s for certain: rock royalty is coming to Brisbane and long may she reign!
