Radio Birdman fly into Cooly

Yeah Hup! Radio Birdman Return!

Better get your tickets fast, this will sell out faster than a Birdman guitarist Denis Tek lead break. Radio Birdman are the iconic Australian rock and roll band, and define what punk rock is, the did it themselves, and didn’t give a f**k about the consequences. The will be returning to the Gold Coast at the Coolangatta Hotel on 2 November, supported by 1980s power-pop-grunge-out from Perth, The Stems, who have also recently been admitted to the WAM Hall of Fame, and of course not to forget Spanish legend Los Chicos.

Since they have been reformed, Radio Birdman have gone from strength to strength with their live game, and after the release of the biopic ‘Descent into the Maelstrom’, it shows that even though there are only now three of the five rock n roll soldiers, they are still continuing their war against the jive, and judging from the last time I saw them they are playing better than ever. They have done a few tours of Europe since last time they were in town, so they will be primed to fire. It is just so amazing to hear the Radio Birdman tunes live that have inspired so many musical acts.

Energetic Spanish power-pop chargers Los Chicos were the support act last time Radio Birdman played in Brisbane. If you aren’t moving when these guys are playing you are dead or at least unconscious.

Radio Birdman, The Stems and Los Chicos fly into The Cooly Hotel on 2 November. Tickets are available at Oztix for $81.55 including booking fee. Better grab them soon, you know it will be the biggest reunion of rock n roll soldiers for years!
