British alt-rock duo Royal Blood have yet to hit the stage at this year’s edition of Splendour In The Grass but their already making waves in Australia having just dropped dates for a huge 2018 headlining Australian tour.
Having recently released their sophomore album ‘How Did We Get So Dark?’ the band will be playing four shows in Australia in May next year – possibly to make up for only booking one date in Sydney to follow-on from their Splendour appearance this weekend.
Bass guitarist and vocalist Mike Kerr and drummer Ben Thatcher are currently riding a huge wave or success with ‘How Did We Get So Dark?’ debuting at number one on the UK charts, number four on the ARIA and spawning a slew of well received singles including ‘Lights Out’, ‘I Only Lie When I Love You’ and ‘Hook, Line and Seeker’.
If history is anything to go by, get in fast because previous Australian shows in 2014 and 2015 have been sell outs and you don’t want to miss your chance to see one of most original up and comers on the touring circuit today.
Royal Blood will hit the Riverstage on Monday May 7.
