Seven things to do this weekend that have nothing to do with sport

The last weekend of the Commonwealth Games is almost here and you’re eager to venture out and experience as much as you can before it’s all a distant memory. But what if you’re just not that into sport? We hear you and have got you covered with seven experiences on offer this weekend that have absolutely nothing to do with sport.

Get out of town on a day trip

Escape the hustle and bustle and set off on a day trip to the Gold Coast Hinterland where you can explore the beautiful walks, mountain lookouts, waterfalls and the wildlife of Springbrook or you could wander down the Gallery Walk, visit a local distillery or try The Rainforest Skywalk at Mount Tamborine.  If wine tasting, a gourmet picnic by a flowing river or a delicious lunch with picturesque sweeping views of a vineyard sounds more like your thing then O’Reilley’s Canungra Valley Vineyard at Canungra or Sirromet Winery at Mount Cotton has your name written all over it.
