Splendour in the Grass 2015 Lineup Announced

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: yep, the long-awaited Splendour in the Grass lineup has finally dropped. After months of speculation, high hopes, and what has now been confirmed as a very real leak over Spotify, the festival’s roster is here, and what a roster it is. Headliners include Blur, Florence + The Machine, and Mark Ronson, with local heroes Tame Impala, Peking Duk  and Flight Facilities and international sensations such as Death Cab For Cutie, The Dandy Warhols and Royal Blood all readying themselves to take to the stages of Australia’s premier winter festival.

In total, there are over 100 acts playing at Splendour this year, and over 50 of them call Australia home. We at Blank are pretty proud of the not-too-shabby QLD representation, which includes one-man sensation Jarryd James, Brisbane stalwarts The GratesLast Dinosaurs, Art of SleepingDune Rats, and the ever-rising star that is Hannah Karydas aka Eves The Behaviour. 2015 sees the return of the wonderful natural Amphitheatre and the Mix Up and GW McLennan stages, but there’s a new addition this year: the Tiny Dancer stage, which will play host to the hottest international and home-grown DJs on the bill.

Of course, as we all know, Splendour has always had a lot more to offer than just a failsafe killer lineup. Nurture your creative side and try not to get glitter literally everywhere at Splendour in the Craft, get your fill of feel-good belly laughs at the Splendour Late Night Comedy Club, give your brain a workout at the Splendour Forum (presented by The Guardian), or experience the melting pot that is the Global Village. No visit to Splendour in the Grass is complete without a trip to the Tipi Forest, and as for Splendour Arts – well, we can’t imagine what could possibly top last year’s notorious Skywhale.
Splendour will return to its still relatively new North Byron Parklands home, which, if last year is anything to go by, it’s settling into nicely.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 23 April, and there won’t be a second release this year – the site has already granted SITG an increased capacity. So set your alarms, start saving, rally the troops in your Splendour 2015 closed Facebook group, do whatever you need to do – just be sure you don’t miss out on this one! Full lineup and poster below.
