Spyndrift’s 1920’s fancy dress party hits the Gold Coast

Join flamboyant Victorian band Spyndrift as they kick off their Hit and Rum tour to launch the new year in style.

Let Them Eat Cake promises to be an unforgettable evening with a spectacular line up of musical acts including local groove masters AKoVa , Reichelt and classy performances from burlesque beauty Ms Belle Benet.

Spyndrift is a quirky theatrical quartet who plays an intoxicating range of musical styles from dub-ska to circus-cabaret. They are thrilled to be returning to the Gold Coast after their successful tour in May 2013.

Their dynamic musical performance is complete with eccentric characters in lavish costumery, enchanting and playful antics, twirling parasols and Parisian vaudevillian hi-jinx. Their film clips Like a Kyte and Pandora’s Box (YouTube) illustrate the theatrical and playful nature of this act and what you can expect to see in their show.

Other performances on the night include burlesque chanteuse Ms Belle Benét (Byron Bay). Don your top hats and tails for Spyndrift’s Let Them Eat Cake!

Let Them Eat Cake hits The Loft Chevron Island on Friday 3 January. Tickets are $15 pre-booked or $20 on the door.
