Sticky Fingers sell out Gold Coast show in just four hours. Oops, make that 90 minutes.

Sticky Fingers announced a new album on Tuesday, a national tour on Wednesday and then sold out their Gold Coast show on Thursday, just 90 minutes after tickets went on sale. (We originally thought it was four hours, turns out it was even quicker).

Seems word has spread pretty quickly since their record-breaking set at Splendour in The Grass in 2014. They played early that day. Very early. Yet 20,000 people still managed to witness the set.

During the new years period this year they played Falls Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Southbound and BW Festival in New Zealand. That’s the mark of a band that work hard.

Their last album Land of Pleasure has been lauded by people all over the place and they spent most of last year touring the world: USA, Canada, Europe, UK and New Zealand included.

Sticky Fingers are at NightQuarter (Helensvale) on 5 November, but if you don’t have tickets, well, sorry about that.
