It’s time to dust off the picnic rugs and lock in your Mudgeeraba Friday nights, because Summertime Sessions in the Village is back.
Local Councillor Glenn Tozer, who co-created the seasonal pop-up gigs with Polly Snowden said the village was passionate about supporting the city’s live music scene, including its venues.
“This season we’ll be doing our best in Mudgeeraba to activate an appetite for local live music across the city, pointing visitors to the many venues supporting local acts, like Miami Marketta, NightQuarter and Soundlounge,” Glenn said.
“Of course, we’ll still be promoting the Friday night economy in Mudgeeraba and chatting about local issues with local families,” he said.
The seven-week series kicks off Friday 3 November with Leopold’s Treat and Jackson Dunn providing live sets. Felicity Lawless, Julie Hayes, Jadey Peterson, Salt & Steel (pictured in feature image) and Sonik Mayhem are among the artists performing over the season.
Summertime Sessions in the Village wraps up for the year with Hussy Hicks on 15 December. Fresh from touring the USA and with a new album under their belt, the hussies are excited about playing new material for their biggest fans – Gold Coasters.
