Celebrate Gold Coast has announced its music lineup a month ahead of the free community event that celebrates the best of this city.
The Beautiful Girls, Hot Potato Band and IVEY will provide live music while punters also enjoy circus skills, skateboard, BMX and scooter demos, a suitcase rummage and crafternoon activities.
Celebrate Gold Coast will see Thomas Drive on Chevron Island closed to traffic with a focus on village life.
This fourth annual event takes place Sunday 9 October.
The Beautiful Girls will bring a surf-roots-reggae vibe – one they’ve honed over more than 15 years in the Australian music scene . IVEY and Hot Potato Band bring indie-rock and brass-driven funk respectively.
To go with the music, demos and craft, Chevron Island’s food and beverage outlets will offer street food menus. For transport, there’s the G:Link a mere stroll from where all the action goes down.
Celebrate Gold Coast runs from 10.00am.
Take it from us, it’d be silly to drive. More at cityofgoldcoast.com.au.
