The Cat Empire announce NightQuarter date as part of national tour

Fresh from two months in the studio recording new tunes, Australia’s favourite suppliers of the finest non-stop festival vibes, The Cat Empire are hitting the road with a big bag of hits. Touring nationally throughout September, the band will hit some of their favourite Australian venues and will be taking star on the rise Odette out with them. Gold Coast fans will be delighted to here that our own NightQuarter is one of the only regional stops being made by the party-starting group.

The Cat Empire are one of Australia’s most celebrated musical outfits both at home and abroad, selling more tickets annually than any other Australian band. Testament to the quality of their musicianship, showmanship, unstoppable energy and generosity as performers, they have sold well over 2.5 million albums and are loved around the globe for their melody driven, mood lifting music.

Initially coming together as a six-piece of jazz musos straight out of school, the band then expanded horizons to include further explorations into the then unchartered hybrid of jazz, ska, funk, indie and rock, with a heavy Latin vibe thrown in for good measure. Their resulting debut album saw the band capture attention and airwaves globally. Now well over a decade and six studio albums since they first started, they prepare for the next exciting leg of this amazing musical ride.

Come and say ‘hello hello’ to the guys when they prowl into NightQuarter on Sunday 23 September for their all-ages gig. Pre-sale tix available here from today, general sale kicks in 8 May. Get in quick.
