Tumbleweed to smoke up the Shark Bar stage

You Want Some Weed Man?

Those 1990’s legendary stoner rockers Tumbleweed are back on the road, hitting the Shark Bar at Miami on Friday 13 July. Tumbleweed were formed from the ashes of The Proton Energy Pills and Unheard, from the beachside suburbs of Wollongong, and were rocking the underground scene in Sydney (and even supporting Nirvana on their only Australian Tour), before the band had even released an album.

This time, Tumbleweed will be playing their debut self-titled album, and will have some classic acts of the era with them – namely Screamfeeder and Bud. This will be a treat for stoner rockers of all ages. Tumbleweed last played on the Gold Coast for the Festival of AB, a fundraiser for the family of  legendary surfboard shaper Allan Byrne. Tumbleweed ripped it up that night, and had the crowd screaming for more.

The self-titled album is a classic, and I am sure that they will throw in a few other songs like ‘Daddy Longlegs’ and ‘Hang Around’ into the mix as well.

If you dig you rock with some kick and drive, don’t miss Tumbleweed this July. If vinyl is your thing, there are still a limited number of copies of the group’s self-titled album, as well as their ‘Daddy Long Legs’ single, available to purchase through Farmer And The Owl. But be quick, because these won’t hang around for too much longer! Tickets are available from Oztix, and as it is going to be a sell out, so I wouldn’t be ‘Hanging Round’ thinking about getting a ticket. Get some weed into you man, you’ll dig it!

Catch Tumbleweed, Screamfeeder and Bud on Friday 13 July, Miami Shark Bar, Gold Coast and Saturday 14 July, The Triffid, Brisbane.
