Ohio natives Twenty One Pilots are set to hit our shores come the end of March to play their biggest Australian tour to date. Playing some of the countries largest venues, hitting none other than our very own Brisbane Entertainment Centre first.
The duo have quickly made themselves known internationally with their unique mixed genre, blending pop, hip hop, indie and electronic rock. For what could be considered a relatively young band, Twenty One Pilots have accumulated a large number of hit singles, hitting platinum more times than I can begin to imagine and they just keep on rolling them out. Heavydirtysoul is their most recent effort which has so far reached gold, followed closely behind by Heathens, which was the top single for DC comics action blockbuster Suicide Squad, topping a staggering eleven times platinum.
They have wowed crowds around the world, playing some of the largest and most recognised music festivals such as Reading/Leeds, iHeartMusic Festival, Lollapalooza and even putting on an incredibly spectacular display at the AMA awards. And all that in just the past year. Now, only a year out from them bringing their highly successful Blurryface tour to Australia, they are now lugging their Emotional Roadshow tour down under. This marks their third visit to Australia in less than three years, making them what we would consider regular visitors, but this time they will be taking on some of the biggest venues Australia has to offer.
Twenty One Pilots deliver nothing but highly energetic and creatively unique shows, pulling off what many duos simply cannot and their shows only get more colossal and somehow even more impressive.
The boys play Brisbane Entertainment Centre 27 March and you can pick up tickets via Ticketek online. But hurry, tickets are almost sold out and you do not want to miss this.
