Under the Southern Stars brings Sheppard home to Queensland

Under the Southern Stars has announced Brisbane’s very own Sheppard to the line-up for both Queensland shows.

Sheppard are one of the biggest names in Australian music. The Brisbane based band’s current album ‘Watching The Sky’ topped the AIRA album chart on its release in June 2018 and since then the band have been selling out shows as part of their biggest tour to date.  In 2017, Sheppard’s smash hit ‘Coming Home’ went racing up charts around the world, making its debut on the US Today Show during their stateside tour and becoming one of the biggest radio hits of the Australian summer last year.  The Brisbane pop favourites are no strangers to huge concert events, having toured with Justin Bieber and Little Mix in 2017, as well as playing in front of 80,000 fans at the Corona Capital Festival alongside the Foo Fighters, Green Day and more.  All of this builds on the success that Amy, Emma, and George Sheppard had with their perennial smash hit ‘Geronimo’ from their 2014 album ‘Bombs Away’.  The song went platinum in 21 countries, including Top 40 in the US, and spent 44 weeks in the Australian ARIA chart including 3 weeks at No. 1.

Sheppard will join the 2019 concert event headlined by Australia’s legendary ARIA Hall Of Fame inductees Hoodoo Gurus along with Australian rock royalty You Am I.  Also on this killer bill is Eskimo Joe, The Superjesus, British India, The Getaway Plan and Scott Darlow.

Rock out under the Southern Stars on Saturday 19 January at Broadwater Parklands. Tickets available from www.ticketmaster.com.au OR www.underthesouthernstars.com.au
