A Day On The Green has a stellar lineup at Sirromet Winery in 2020

This summer marks the 18th season of a day on the green, which started in January 2001.  After more than 450 shows and over three million happy patrons, the A Day On The Green experience of good food, fine wine and great music in magnificent locations is firmly established as one of Australia’s most popular concert events.

We are lucky to have an A Day On The Green venue right on our doorstep at Sirromet Winery, Mount Cotton, and the lineup for 2020 is a cracker.

 

Sir Elton John on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February 2020

Roundhouse Entertainment, in conjunction with Chugg Entertainment, is thrilled to announce Sir Elton John will perform three very special a day on the green outdoor concerts as part of the epic 15-date Australian leg of his global Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Recently crowned by Billboard as the most successful performing male solo artist of all time, Elton John will traverse Australia and New Zealand between December 2019 and February 2020, in what will be the legendary music icon’s most extensive tour of the region to date.

Elton John will deliver his famed songbook to spellbound audiences, on his very last tour, playing across a mammoth run that includes capital city concerts, along with stops at some of Australia’s finest outdoor venues.

Cold Chisel on Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 February 2020

There’s nothing more Australian than hot sun, warm waves and Cold Chisel. The band’s classic songs like ‘Khe Sanh’, ‘Flame Trees’, ‘Bow River’, ‘My Baby’, ‘Cheap Wine’, ‘Saturday Night’ and ‘You Got Nothing I Want’ have become the soundtrack to our summers.

Now, for the first time ever, this iconic Australian band will be playing 14 very special outdoor shows in Australia and New Zealand during summer, including an unforgettable a day on the green at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton on Saturday February 8 and Sunday February 9, their only Queensland shows.

Roundhouse Entertainment and Frontier Touring are excited to announce the return of pop icons a-ha for their first Australian tour in 34 years next February and March including Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton on Sunday March 1. They’ll be joined by very special guest Rick Astley.

The Norwegian trio, who dominated pop charts worldwide during the ’80s, are celebrating the 35th anniversary of their hugely influential debut album ‘Hunting High And Low’ and will be performing the classic album in full as well as other favourites from across their career. Selling more than 11 million copies worldwide, it includes the unforgettable ‘Take On Me’, which reached number one on the Australian charts, as well as follow-up hits ‘The Sun Always Shines On TV’, ‘Train Of Thought’ and the title track.

Rod Stewart on Saturday November 7 2020

Sir Rod Steward returns to Australia for an eight-date tour across the country, playing both arenas and a day on the green winery dates.

Roundhouse Entertainment, in conjunction with Live Nation, is thrilled to announce the legendary singer will make a welcome return to a day on the green, performing at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton, QLD on Saturday November 7.

James Blunt with Special Guest Jason Mraz on Sunday November 22 2020

Roundhouse Entertainment in conjunction with Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the return of multi-Platinum British singer and songwriter James Blunt, who makes his highly anticipated return to Australia in November 2020, performing at a day on the green at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton on Sunday November 22, 2020.

Joining James Blunt at all his Australian shows will be special guest and old friend, Grammy award-winning pop craftsman Jason Mraz, who returns to Australia for the first time in six years. The pair have been occasional touring partners over the years, sharing stages in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland since 2005.

Simple Minds with OMD and The Eurogliders on  Sunday December 6 2020

Seminal Scottish band Simple Minds have announced they will be returning to Australia in November 2020 for their 40 Years of Hits Tour 2020.  They will be joined by very special guests, UK electronic pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvers In The Dark, who will be touring Australia for the first time since 1987.

This tour celebrates Simple Minds’ 40: The Best Of – 1979-2019, a 40-song collection that marks the band’s 40th anniversary. The compilation features a new song, a cover of ‘For One Night Only’ by Scottish singer-songwriter King Creosote. Appropriately, you can catch Simple Minds For One Night Only at a day on the green at Sirromet Wines, Mount Cotton on Sunday December 6, 2020.
