The stunning voices of Belladiva tackle pop to opera

Some of the best-loved classics from opera to pop will be performed at HOTA on Thursday 7 June at 11.00am by Australia’s premiere pop opera quartet Belladiva.

This unique combination of classical voice and playful musicianship makes the familiar new again with gorgeous modern interpretations of everything from the ‘Flower Duet’ to ‘Blackbird’.  Beautiful, soaring and ethereal one minute, intimate, tender and sweet the next.

The incredible voices of Alicia Cush, Bethan Ellsmore, Jo Willans and Samantha Paterson combine to deliver with a delightful ease and sincerity, a 90-minute performance that’s truly enthralling and heart-warming.

The Queensland Conservatorium of Music-trained Belladiva have performed live to more than 85,000 people nationwide and have appeared at many prestigious events including Channel 9’s Carols in the City, The Queensland Pops Orchestra, Brisbane Festival, Queensland Music Festival, Noosa Long Weekend and The Woodford Folk Festival.

The divas are vibrant and compelling solo performers in their own right, backed by years of national and international experience, including performances with Opera Queensland, OzOpera, Circa, Women in Voice, Oscar Theatre Company, Harvest Rain Theatre Company and Operacus.

Combined, they have a special dynamic and energy that can only be found amongst a group of friends who love performing together and share the same passion for evocative music.
