Something to Bragg About

It’s not often that touring musicians treat their audiences to three shows in three consecutive nights, yet the legendary Billy Bragg, is doing just that when he returns to Australia in May, 2020 on his ‘One Step Forward, Two Steps Back’ tour.

Planning three completely different shows, across the span of three evenings, in a number of cities around the nation, Billy will be entertaining audiences with highlights from his entire musical career, as well as regaling crowds with his captivating story-telling ability and pamphleteering.

With the first show heralded as a ‘regular Billy affair, inclusive of all the greatest hits and sing-a-long ballads, his second show is for the enamoured fans who were inspired by his amazing first three albums, Life’s A Riot with Spy Vs Spy (1983), the cutting-edge Brewing Up with Billy Bragg, which was released the following year, and the classic go-to for any Billy Bragg fanatic, Talking with the Taxman About Poetry.

The third and final night will highlight Bragg’s arguably most loved pop moments – namely Workers Playtime and Don’t Try This At Home albums, as well as William Bloke. With three incredible nights of music to choose from, Billy hopes this tour will offer something for everyone and when you combine his love of story-telling, as well as great music, it makes sense that Billy will be doing three night stints across towns nationwide, one night just wouldn’t be enough.

Catch one of Billy’s shows at the Triffid in Brisbane on either the 18th, 19th or 20th of May, 2020. For tickets head to
