A guitar festival, in a brewery is returning to Byron

The Byron Bay Guitar Festival is back, baby, and with it come British India, Ash Grunwald and Dallas Frasca, amongst a tonne of talent showcasing incredible guitar skills alongside a guitar marketplace, upskilling opportunities and of course, beer. It is in a brewery after all.

Alongside the headliners, you can catch The Fumes, Jeff Martin, Hussy Hicks, Lloyd Spiegel, Opal Ocean, The Jimi Hendrix Show with Steve Symonds and young guns from Byron Bay High School.

The 6 – 7 October event is set to be an industry highlight for lovers of all-things guitar. Produced by Byron Music, the festival is a veritable guitar lovers’ heaven. Director Nick Sergi explains it best.

“It celebrates the diversity of the guitar and the diversity of people who love music,” he said.

“We’re really excited about building this festival up and celebrating not just music but the industry around it. In a world where more and more is moving into the digital realm, we want to bring it back and celebrate live music, the craftsmanship of beautiful instruments, and the community that forms around music when you’re physically standing in a room enjoying it together”.

There will be more than 29 live performances across two stages, a showcase of instruments and craftsmanship from some of the world’s favourite makers as well as workshops, seminars and delicious food and beverage.

After a successful debut year in 2017, despite torrential rain, the Byron Bay Guitar Festival was heralded a success for bringing a local community event accessible to all back to the Byron fold and  embraced by artists and audience alike.

Tickets for the 6 – 7 October event are just $50 for one day or $90 for two and are on sale now at byronbayguitarfestival.com.
