Having recently owned and taken out the Tweed Battle Of The Bands, when we speak, High Tide are preparing themselves for their next big band comp the Komune Battle of the Bands in Coolangatta, they’ll be hitting the stage as a part of this series on 5 July and if you are into loose surf rock, dirty psych, girls in short skirts and Sunday drinks then be at this free gig and show your support for some of Australia’s next big things in live music.
High Tide is made up of four humorous lads Django on vocals and guitar, Oscar on lead guitar, Biku on bass and David on drums and have just finished writing their first self titled EP which they have begun to produce and record at Digital Tao Studios in Uki.
Their first single Loose is up on their Soundcloud and although it’s only a demo they have had a radical response to their vibe, forcing them to save pennies and get into the studio to produce a quality EP.
Their self-titled EP will be available in July.
Keep riding the High Tide waves by following their progress on Facebook and throw some shakas at Komune on 5 July, for a sweet party supporting live local music and upcoming bands.
