The first ever Chinese New Year Festival will take place in the city’s new Chinatown precinct, which is set to come alive with all the things that make this event special, the world over.
Colour, cuisine and culture.
It will be the inaugural public event in the new Gold Coast Chinatown with the gates thrown open for the very first time.
Not surprisingly, the festival will highlight Asian-infused street food and the precinct will be transformed into a cultural bazaar. The complementary program includes art and cultural experiences as well as live music, roving entertainment, artistic performances and interactive activities, including for children.
Chinese New Year marks the new lunar year in the Chinese calendar and in February, we move into the Year of the Goat.
