Gold Coast arts organisations triennial funding program is opening soon

City of Gold Coast has just announced the continuation of the Arts Organisations Triennial Funding Program.

Gold Coast based arts and cultural organisations and groups are encouraged to apply to the City’s Arts Organisations Triennial Funding Program (Triennial Program) to support delivery of their annual arts and cultural activities over the next three years (2022-24). The program provides three years funding to successful arts and cultural organisations who can evidence they are impactful players in the Gold Coast’s cultural landscape, and supports new work, innovation, artistic excellence and cultural leadership.

It aims to build a strong and diverse local arts ecology, strengthen opportunities for partnership, grow access and engagement for local audiences, support local creative employment, contribute to sustainable business models and raise the profile of arts and culture in the city.

Two streams of funding are available:

• Stream One: up to $40,000 p.a. | For entrepreneurial organisations/groups that are at the early-mid stages of their growth trajectory.
• Stream Two: up to $150,000 p.a. | For established, high performing organisations that have a comprehensive multiyear strategy for how they can take on a leading role in the local sector and contribute to our economic growth through city reputation.

Applications open on 5 July 2021 and close on 16 August 2021, with successful organisations being notified in November 2021.

The 2022 – 24 round will be the third iteration of the program initiated as part of the Culture Strategy 2023. This funding program is highly competitive, so it’s recommended that organisations wishing to apply begin immediately. There will also be a one hour information session with the Arts and Culture team via Zoom on Wednesday 14 July at 12.30pm. Register here.

For more information on who is eligible to apply, the assessment process and how to submit an application, see read the Triennial Program Guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions on the council’s website. If you have any questions about the session you can contact the team via Phone: 07 5582 9258 or Email: cultural@goldcoast.qld.gov.au.
