Cooly Beachfest brings killer lineup to Quiksilver Pro punters this March

It will be the biggest beach party to hit Cooly and it’s no coincidence that it happens at the same time as the Quicsilver Pro.

Cooly Beachfest will be one of the largest outdoor ticketed events that Cooly has seen. And the lineup is pretty spesh.

The Rubens, The Beautiful Girls, The Dorsal Fins, Bec Sandridge and The Vanns will have Coolangatta Beach as their backdrop for five hours of epic music at the most beautiful time of year on the Gold Coast.

You are here. What an incredible location for a festival.

Wayne ‘Rabbit’ Bartholomew is the event’s ambassador. He said the festival would be a complementary fit with the Quiksilver Pro.

“I have been attending the Quiksilver Pro for many years now,” Rabbit said. “To have such an incredible event like this complement the happenings in the break, is going to help our community to come together even more so and celebrate the things we love most.”

As well as five bands the event will feature food and market stalls, and while it’s an all-ages event, it will also be licensed. Even Cooly Hotel is in on the act hosting the after-party.

Cooly Beachfest will kick off mid-afternoon at stunning seaside Queen Elizabeth Park on Saturday 18 March while thousands of people are in town for the Quiksilver Pro.

Look guys, we’ll be honest, Cooly Beachfest brings our favourite things together at the perfect time of year. Some of Australia’s best bands, food and drink, beachside park hangs and surf. But because it’s so hectic in Cooly that time of year, and because the lineup is so damn good, you might wanna hustle on the ticket front.

Tickets are already onsale. There’s a grown-up ticket for $55 and a grom’s ticket (under 15) for $45.

Get all the details at the Cooly Beachfest website, and we’ll see you at the southern end in March.
