Emily Wurramara, the young artist who has been making national waves with her stunning debut Black Smoke, has been named as a finalist in the National Indigenous Music Awards.
Wurramara recently spoke with our editor about the EP, which has seen her performing all over the world and collaborating with some of Australia’s highest profile artists. The 20 year old remains humble and excited about the opportunities that have been afforded her as a result.
The hotly contested “New Talent” category sees Emily up against some other incredible young talent, and we wish her all the best of luck when the awards roll around on 6 August.
