Fiesta de la Musica Returns for a Third Season

Fiesta de la Musica returns to the Arts Centre Gold Coast in 2016 to enthral music lovers with its exciting program of classical arts and world music.

The main two week musical gala runs from Thursday 1 September through to Sunday 18 September and will showcase both local professional musicians as well as some of Australia’s leading musical performers in a celebration of classical music from around the world.

Delight in an eclectic program of ticketed and free events and participate in a range of musical activities. Gain a deeper understanding of how music is created with Fiesta’s learning sessions. For younger musicians there are opportunities to be mentored in composition and to perform for your community.

Don’t miss these signature Fiesta events:

  • Philharmonic Fiesta: Gold Coast’s own Philharmonic Orchestra, together with Matt Ward Vocal Studio, celebrates the music from Broadway and other classics whilst honouring the history of musicals presented at The Arts Centre, in a Sunday afternoon concert for all to enjoy.
  • Professional company, Southern Cross Soloists presents the amazing Rhapsody in Blue in a spectacular dinner concert and the Aboriginal Centre for Performing Arts introduces their talented students performing for the first time on the Gold Coast, prior to the extraordinary performance of Dirtsong.
  • Louise King will present Bach @ Lunch featuring cello and harpsichord in a free lunchtime concert, followed by a workshop for local performers on What Makes a Successful Performance.
