Three epic nights of indie music have been announced for Bleach* Festival 2014 with The Soundlounge Currumbing playing host to a solid list of visiting artists.
Friday 7 March sees three of Australia’s hotttest upcoming acts hit the Gold Coast. Elizabeth Rose, The Trouble with Templeton (pictured) and Hey Geronimo will share the stage.
But the good news doesn’t end there. Crowd pleasers for Bleach* 2013, Voilent Soho are back for 2014, headlining a rock n roll party with Bad//Dreems and The Sinking Teeth also joining the bill. Violent Soho’s new album Hungry Ghost debuted at number ix on the ARIA Charts and they’ve been selling out venues all over the country, confirming their place as one of the most exciting guitar bands to come out of Australia.
To round out this first announcement of acts, Band of Frequencies will present the Queensland premiere screening of The Transparentsea Voyage – a Modern Voyage with Ancient Creatures, featuring a live performance of songs from the film, special guests and artwork. This true collision of music and surf culture will hit the Soundlounge on Friday 21 March.
From 7-23 March, 2014, the Bleach* Festival will drench the Gold Coast with a three-week, high-energy, action-packed parade of live music, beach concerts, theatre, performing arts, film and fun. Bleach* Festival HQ is the Southern Gold Coast but next year, satellite events throughout the Gold Coast will spread the best of Bleach* across the length and breadth of the city.
