Flying Lotus 3D experience heading to The Tivoli in January 2020

This is definitely a show not be missed. Flying Lotus is finally back on Australian shores with an experimental music and visual arts performance that has been heralded as a ‘first of its’ kind’. Having just picked up the ‘Tech Enhancement of the Year’ award, 3D Live, the creators of the visuals for the show, is going to take Australian audiences on a mind-bending Flying Lotus 3D experience.

Playing his 2019 album, ‘Flamagra’ with its’ dream cast of collaborators, including David Lynch, Anderson Paak, George Clinton and Little Dragon, the combination of cinematic synesthesia and the energetic, pulsating, electro-funk tunes, was the idea that influenced his upcoming show.

Complimentary 3D glasses provided on arrival means you can experience music and a virtual world literally collide — taking you on a kaleidoscope journey of pulsing colours, textures and imagery created by long-term collaborators Strangeloop and Timeboy. Viewable from 120 to 140 degrees angles, usually ‘flat’ holograms will be able to be seen around the concert hall. Flying Lotus even points out that every show is different, as both his music and the visuals are improvised live, by himself and the visual artists, every single night.

So buckle up and brace yourself for a Flying Lotus show that is set to take you to the next level, perhaps even literally!

Catch Flying Lotus at the Tivoli, Sunday, 26 January, 2020.  Tickets available through The Tivoli website here.
