Lastlings launch new single and new signing

Effortlessly wooing audiences at BIGSOUND, Gold Coast siblings Lastlings have not stopped since.

Last week they announced a new single Time. That track comes off the back of single You, which saw them score a slot in Triple J Unearthed High. They’ve also signed with Select Music for bookings in Australia as well as New Zealand. Plus they’ve been added to an all star lineup for 2016 EMC: PLAY, Beyond the Valley and FOMO Festival.

It’s been a big year for Lastlings, to say the least. They just wrapped up their debut heading tour as well as supporting Vera Blue in her tour. Their addition to Select Music sees them join a roster which includes RUFUS, Tkay Maidza and The Preatures.

New single Time is a song about being caught up in negative moments, focusing on our own selfish needs and forgetting about the things that matter the most. Recorded right here on the Gold Coast at Loose Stones Studios and mixed and mastered by ARIA Award winning producer Forrester Savell, the track encapsulates the duo’s progressive electronica with Josh Dowdle’s masterful and intelligent production paired with 16-year old Amy’s vocal prowess beyond her years.

Bursting onto the scene in late 2015, the duo’s stellar debut EP Unreality, which includes standout singles Wavelength and Verona, alongside 2015 lead ‘Chills,’ has now cracked over 1.5 million Spotify streams.
