In what is seriously exciting news, we’ve managed to nab a sneak peek at the incredible video for ‘Wild’, the debut single for soon-to-be-household-name, Lily Papas.
22 year old singer songwriter, Gold Coast local Lily Papas has had a whirlwind 12 months having signed a record deal with Universal Music, recorded an album in LA, and attended the ARIAs. Industry bods are touting Lily as “the next Amy Shark,” as soon as you’ve taken a listen to her dreamy vocals, you can understand why.
‘Wild’ has already been turning heads, recently becoming the most requested song on Gold Coast HIT 90.9, and has also been featured on Home & Away, a massive coup for a new artist. Lily Papas describes ‘Wild’ as a dark love song she wrote about the feeling of not wanting to let someone go even when they no longer love you.
“We wrote the song ‘Wild’ in a writing session a year ago in LA with Mike Mac and Jordan Baum and we played on the idea of this powerful enchantress, a black widow type, similar to Angelina Jolie’s character in Maleficent.”
Today’s emotive video is set to take the track to new heights. The storyline is cleverly reflected in the hauntingly cinematic video clip, shot in regional NSW and directed by Australian Director Jeremy Hancock.
