On 13 December the Gold Coast will be treated to an amazing line up of local talent at the Coolangatta hotel.
The Metalfields mini festival boasts Azreal, Headless (Melbourne), Sending Artax, Eternal Torment, Pseudonaja, Rogyapas, The Black Swamp, Evil Eye, Hamers and Dirty Brew. This is one gig not to be missed.

Queensland’s own Aversions Crown, who recently signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment, will release their upcoming album Tyrant on 7 November.
The album was produced by Andy Marsh from They Art is Murder and mixed by Mark Lewis (Carnifex, Whitechapel) of Audio Hammer.

Machine Head will also release their eagerly awaited new album Bloodstone & Diamonds on 7 November.
The band recently unleashed two tracks from the album online Killers and Kings and Now We Die. If the record is anything like the tracks previewed, fans of the band are definitely in for a treat.

The clown princes of punk, The Dickies have announced an Australian tour.

Gold Coast rock legends Smoking Martha (pictured) have announced Brisbane and Gold Coast shows to celebrate the release of their new single All Lit Up. The video was partially shot at The Bearded Lady in Brisbane, as well as some high powered footage shot in a vintage 1960’s Pontiac Firebird. Catch them on Friday 21 November at The Bearded Lady with Black Diamond and Heavy Roller and Friday November 28th at the Dolphins Hotel in Tweed Heads Black Diamond and Boned. Both gigs are free,

Instrumental progressive metal three piece The Cilikis have released their latest EP Unusual Conversations via their Bandcamp page.
The EP was recorded at Rock City Studios on the Gold Coast and sees the band shift away from the expected guitar focused metal and take on a more of a jazz – metal fusion style. Epic stuff!

The Black Swampwill unleash their amazing new single Cold Dead Hands on 1 November. The band have also announced a run of shows in support of the release kicking off at Tatts Hotel in Lismore on Friday 28 November and wrapping up on Saturday 13 December at The Coolangatta Hotel for the Metalfields festival.
