Come August, Oxfam Australia will play host to a month-long festival of music, all in the name of creating change and bringing aid to people around the world who are most in need of help.
Set in the grounds of Mason Wines, Oxjam Mt Tamborine will not just make a difference to those in need, but to your bellies, your ear-holes and your sense of community.
There will be music by three of the Gold Coast’s most talented artists. I know we say that all the time, but seriously – this lineup! Robbie Miller is a previous NIMA Unearthed Winner, scoring a performance slot at the prestigious National Indigenous Music Awards in 2013. He’s joined by hussies on guitars, the Hussy Hicks as well as our favourite bluesman, Karl S Williams (pictured, with guitar).
Karl is the darling of Gold Coast’s burgeoning music scene: a guitar-slinging, banjo-wielding bard who writes poignant lyrics and moving melodies.
Throw into the mix, the comic genius of MC, Desh, a range of Mason wines plus craft beers from Beard and Brau Farmhouse Brewery and you have an event that hits the mark on many fronts.
Oxjam Mt Tamborine will bring relief to people in situations that you can’t even imagine. And all you have to do is show up.
Tickets are available now. You can buy them through Moshtix. You can also follow the event page on Facebook for updates.
All net proceeds from the event will be donated to Oxfam Australia.
