If you like a little country, right down to having a thing for utes, you’ll love what Mudgeeraba Chamber of Commerce and Councillor Glenn Tozer have put together for Sunday 19 October.
It’s the Mudgeeraba Music Muster and as well as a solid lineup of music, it will feature the V8 Superfest Ute Muster with local streets being closed to traffic for the free outdoor concert and festivities.
The music program features Karrie Hayward, a 16yo powerhouse, originally from Kakadu and now in Mackay. She recently took out the new talent award at Gympie Music Muster and kicks off festivities at 11.00am.
Karrie is joined by The Buckleys, a four piece family band headed up by Mick Buckley, former drummer of The Radiators. The other Buckleys are his daughter Sarah and Molly and his son Lachlan.
Also on the bill are Carl Wockner, Hillbilly Goats, Viper Creek Band and the winners of the GC Country Music Jamboree Talent Quest.
The V8 Superfest Ute Muster Parade sees utes meet for breakfast at the Mudgeeraba Heritage Centre at 9.30am before departing at 11.00am for a cruise in convoy through Mudgeeraba and Robina before returning to the Village Green in Mudgeeraba at 11.30am.
Glenn Tozer said the Muster will provide a platform for young and emerging country music artists to showcase their talent and was a great example of the Chamber of Commerce working hard for businesses in a way that highlights the many reasons Mudgeeraba is such an excellent place to live, work and visit.
